The majority of Library resources, including the Library Catalogue, databases, eReserve and electronic journals, can be accessed from computers anywhere on campus or from home.
If you notice a document that is taking a long period of time to be printed, or the formatting of your document changes when printed
please review these steps,
- If the letter spacing appears strangely in your print, or the pages don't print as expected, your document is formatted to print on "Letter" size paper. However, the printers are configured to print the Australian standard "A4" paper
To correct the problem, select the whole document and then click Page Setup from the File menu. When the Page Setup dialog box appears, change your Paper Size to "A4" and click the OK button.
- Large size files can take a long time to print.
If the file is course related material downloaded from FLO (Flinders Learning Online) it is advisable to contact the topic co-ordinator so the file size can be either reduced in size or removed.
- Poorly formatted documents can take some time to print. Re-format the document and then print or seek advice from the FLO Help Desk
- Some graphic intensive documents e.g. PowerPoint presentations or PDF files can be very time consuming to print. In this instance it is advisable to to either reduce the number of graphics in the document, If the file is course related material downloaded from FLO (Flinders Learning Online) it is advisable to contact the topic co-ordinator so the file size can be either reduced in size or removed.
- In some cases it can be useful to cut and paste the required material from large or graphic intensive documents into a word document and print that.
