Printing in the Libraries at Flinders University
Introduction & costs:
Black and White laser printing is available in all branches of the Flinders
University Library and costs 11 cents per page.
Colour laser printing is available in the Central and Sturt Libraries and costs 60 cents
per page.
- Credit for printing can be added to your Flinders student/staff card, with
either notes or coins (except for 5 and 10 cent pieces).
- Alternatively, you can purchase a casual card for $2.00 plus the amount you want available for copying.
There is a machine for adding credit and/or purchasing a casual card in each branch of the Library:
- Central Library - Level 1 near the lifts and Level 3 near the printer
- Gus Fraenkel Medical Library - In the photocopy room
- Law Library - near the printer
- Sturt Library - In the photocopy room

How to print from a SunRay:
- Choose Print from the toolbar or from the File menu
- Click the How to print shortcut in the browser to find the UserID.
- Please note this userID as it will be used to identify your job on the printer release station
- You can send as many print jobs as you like. When you are ready to pick up your print jobs, proceed to a print release station. Print jobs will stay on the print station for up to 1 hour.

How to print from a PC (Acer/Dell/HP):
- Choose Print from the File menu.
- In the print dialogue box, choose a printer
- If you are printing from Acrobat reader you should choose the print button from the Acrobat toolbar. Don't use the Internet Explorer print button as this will only print the web page.
- Note the name of the Library computer you are using - this will be used to identify you job in the queue.
- You can send as many print jobs as you like. When you are ready to pick up your print jobs, proceed to a print release station. Print jobs will stay on the print station for up to 1 hour.

How to print from a Macintosh:
- Choose Print from the File menu.
- Look for the printer icon on the desktop. The chosen printer will be bold, like the example below

- Note the name of the Library computer you are using - this will be
used to identify you job in the queue.
- You can send as many print jobs as you like. When you are ready to
pick up your print jobs, proceed to a print release
station.
Print jobs will stay on the print station for up to 1 hour.

At the print release station:
When you are ready to collect your
prints, go to the print release station for the printer
you have selected.
- Present your Student card to the proximity reader.
- Select your print job by checking the box.
- Select YES to start printing.
- Collect your printouts.
