Subject Guides
Compiled by our Liaison Librarians, the Library's online subject guides offer a wealth of information and assistance. They are available for a wide range of subjects and topics, from Physics PrePrint servers to conducting research in Geography. As each guide is tailor-made to ensure you get the best information, the types of resources and information available varies.
Subject guides can include or may consist of:
- Links to Internet resources.
Organisation webpages, free online journals and informative sites.
- Links to electronic resources.
While some subject guides link to the "official" electronic resources pages, others provide their own, additional selection of resources. Links to databases or electronic journals from the Subject Guides index are to additional selections of electronic resources. These lists should be used in conjunction with those on the main electronic resources pages to ensure you are viewing the most up-to-date list of resources. A link to the official electronic resources lists is included on the main Subject Guides page in the Related online resources section.
- Research Guides.
These guides provide an excellent overview to conducting research or finding information in a specific area. They provide detailed information on topics such as major resources (print and electronic), searching the Voyager Information System and government publications.
The Library's Subject guides are accessible directly from the Library home page (look for Subject Guides, located under Information Resources).
