Evatt Collection
Conditions of Access
The Evatt Collection is available to all bona fide
scholars. A list of files is
available. It should be noted that the list of files is not
a comprehensive listing of individual papers within the
files.
At the request of Mrs Evatt, a Committee of Review has
been appointed to consider individual applications to use
the collection.
Applications to use the Collection should be made in
writing or by email to the
Special Collections Librarian , who will refer
applications to the Committee of Review. Enough information
must be provided to identify clearly the use to which the
papers will be put.
Successful applicants will be advised of suitable times and
dates for using the Collection. Access is generally
available from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Applicants must sign for the files they use. A check will be
made of the number of pieces in each file before and after
use.
Copying will be allowed in accordance with the provisions of
the Copyright Act 1968 as amended. One copy of each
item may be made for research and study. The applicant is
responsible for seeking the approval of the copyright owner
if use is to be made of the papers in any publication or if
they wish to make additional copies. All copying will be
done by Library staff at the current price rate per page.
Copies of complete files of substantial size or numbers of
files will only be supplied on microfilm. Prices and
completion dates will be quoted on request.
Any publications in which the material is used must
acknowledge The Evatt Collection, Flinders University
Library, as a source of information.
