PDF - Adobe's Portable Document Format

Many of the library's electronic journal subscriptions are available in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF). PDF lets you have documents printed on "electronic paper".

To view PDF files, you will need the free viewing application Adobe Acrobat Reader, available for most platforms.

Using Acrobat Reader with your Web Browser

Once installed you can configure most World Wide Web browsers to automatically display any Acrobat document downloaded. Refer to the documentation for your World Wide Web browser for information on associating the Acrobat Reader as a 'Viewer' or 'Helper Application'. (You should associate the Acrobat Reader with the MIME type: 'application' and the extension: '.pdf').

Information on configuring Acrobat Reader is available from the Adobe World Wide Web server.
