*Adolescent Health and Social Environments Program- AHSEP
An initiative of the Centre for Adolescent Health (Royal Children's Hospital), the University of Melbourne and the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, and is funded by the Baker Foundation. Contains news, research and links to resources.
 
*Australian Clearinghouse for Youth Studies-ACYS
A site providing researchers with access to publications and information on youth issues. Includes the 2 databases - "Youth monitor" (summaries of Australian press reports about youth) and "Abstracts" (abstracts of scholarly journal articles on youth)
 
*Australian Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Assoc. Ltd. - AICAFMAH.
Promotes the mental health and well-being of infants, children, adolescents and their families/carers. Includes links to information resources, news, conferences and projects.
 
*Australia's young people: their health and wellbeing 1999
A report by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare which includes information on important diseases and injuries, major risk factors and wider determinants of health. It also covers the health status of particular priority groups: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and immigrant, rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged youth. *Centre for Adolescent Health - Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, Victoria.
Includes links to clinical services and programs as well as research issues and projects.
 
*Child and Youth Health - South Australia.
Promotes the health, well-being and development of children, young people and families. Contains information for young people on health issues, lifestyle choices and healthy relationships. CYH is a State Government agency funded primarily by the Department of Health. On July 1st. 2004, CYH along with the Women's and Children's Hospital, joined to become the Children, Youth and Women's Health Service.
 
*Chronic Illness Peer Support - ChIPS
A program for young people living with any type of chronic illness or medical condition. The program is based in Melbourne at the Centre for Adolescent Health, Royal Children's Hospital.

Information on funding, employment, volunteer and grant opportunities for young Australians and organisations.

Mental health issues for children, adolescents, teachers, health professionals and parents - based in South Australia.
 
*Make A Noise
The official homepage of the Youth Suicide Prevention in the Greater Murray Project. Offers adolescents information on topics such as sexual health, body image, drugs and alcohol, mental health, exercise, Medicare and available health services. Excellent links to professional organisations for further information.

*Adolescent Health On-Line
The website of the American Medical Association's Program on Child and Adolescent Health. Contains excellent links to websites on a range of topics relevant to adolescent health (eg. teenage pregnancy, alcohol and drugs, mental health, smoking).

*Headspace - New Zealand Mental Illness
A webpage for young people in New Zealand - it has information on adolescent health issues with links to resources and information. Includes information with links for Maori and Pacific Mental Health.
 
*International Child and Youth Care Network - CYC-NET
A webpage for youth care workers containing featured articles, discussion forum and information related to health issues of young people.

The Nemours Foundation. The site provides health information; medical, emotional, and developmental issues about children from birth through to adolescence. Includes sections for Parents, Kids and Teens. Content of site is reviewed by physicians and other health experts.
 
*Sex, Etc
"Sex, Etc. is an award-winning national magazine and Web site on sexual health that is written by teens, for teens. It is part of the Teen-to-Teen Sexuality Education Project developed by Answer (formerly the Network for Family Life Education), a leading national organization dedicated to providing and promoting comprehensive sexuality education. Answer is part of the Center for Applied Psychology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey."
