* Dementia Collaborative Research Centres - DCRC
Established by the Australian Government under the Dementia: A National Health Priority Initiative. Each Centre focuses on a different area of dementia research:

* Alzheimer Research Forum
A scientific knowledge base on Alzheimer disease with research news, expert commentaries, and databases for peer-reviewed articles, drugs, research reagents, grants, jobs, conferences, and more.
 
* Alzheimer's Association
This US Association is dedicated to researching the preventions, cures and treatments of Alzheimer's disease and providing support to patients and their families. The site contains resources for caregivers and health care professionals and includes factsheets and links to position statements.
 
* Alzheimer's Disease Education and Referral Center - ADEAR
A service of the U.S. National Institute of Aging, this site is searchable and contains links to web resources, research updates and a clinical trials database.
 
* Alzheimer's Society
An excellent UK source of information on what dementia is as well as information for both carers and professionals. Looks at treatment, quality of life concerns, research and statistics. Includes a number of free publications, factsheets, newsletter and The Journal of Quality Research in Dementia.
 
* Dementia Research Centre
An award-winning site produced by the Dept Neurodegenerative Disease at the Institute of Neurology, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London. Outlines current research into dementia, contains links to research reports and provides many examples of brain imaging.
 
* Dementia Services Development Centre
The Dementia Services Development Centre at the University of Stirling, exists to extend and improve services for people with dementia and their carers in Scotland. The site includes links to leading UK societies, services and research institutions.
