* Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement
"Funded by the Department of Human Services, the Centre for Grief Education is the largest provider of grief education and training in Australia. Providing a range of services including health education, community seminars, professional training, research and low cost counselling, the Centre aims to enhance outcomes for grieving people."
 
* Community.gov.au - information and services for Australians - grief and loss
The Community Portal contains information and helps Australian communities and community groups find relevant, up-to-date information. The grief loss section contains bereavement support, advice, coping mechanisms and support groups. Administered by the Australian Government, Dept of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.
 
* GriefLink
"GriefLink is an information resource for those bereaved and grieving, their carers, friends and colleagues, and health and welfare workers." GriefLink is "a joint project between the National Association for Loss and Grief (SA) Inc and the Department of General Practice. Funded by a grant from the Dept. of Human Services for SA as a community resource for South Australia. This site has excellent information on what grief is, coping with it and helping the bereaved. It also covers a wide range of grief circumstances (eg. unexpected death, SIDS, cancer, AIDS/HIV) and cultural aspects.
 
* Growth House
An award-winning site offering information for agencies working with death and dying issues. Covers topics such as life-threatening illnesses, grief, quality of life and AIDS/HIV. The many professional resources available make this a highly recommended site.
 
* National Association for Loss and Grief (Australia) Inc. - NALAG-Australia
"NALAG is a non-profit, Australia-wide organisation that was formed following the 1977 Granville train disaster in New South Wales. The significant impact on helpers responding to this disaster prompted the formation of NALAG as an organisation that would offer support and training to those working in the loss and grief field. Links to State Associations.
 
* SIDS Australia Online
This site, aimed at health professionals, researchers and parents, contains information, resources and links to SIDS organisations and SIDS research within Australia and globally. The National SIDS Council of Australia Ltd maintains the site which also links to the Red Nose Day.
* Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support (SA) Inc. - SANDS
The South Australian chapter of a support group for parents who experience miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death. This site looks at mothers' and fathers' reactions individually and provides newspapers articles, a list of resources and related links for further information.

International

* Association for Death Education and Counselling- ADEC. The Thanatology Association.
"The Association for Death Education and Counseling is a professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence and recognizing diversity in death education, care of the dying, grief counseling and research in thanatology. Based on quality research and theory, the association provides information, support and resources to its international, multicultural, multidisciplinary membership and through it, to the public."

This site provides interactive grief support services including information and links on grieving, death and dying as well as services in the US.
 
* Grief and loss resource centre
The site, administered by Charlene Elizabeth Fairchild, has been awarded a mental health net award. The author addresses issues of grief, grieving, transition, recovery and healing. Resources for ministers, police, EMS personnel, doctors, nurses, counsellors, and other professionals are provided.
 
* Kearl's Guide to Sociological Thanatology
A fascinating look at death from a sociological viewpoint - across cultures, time, religious beliefs and social institutions. Some of the many issues looked at include: capital punishment, euthanasia, genocide, the afterlife, wills, organ donation, memorialisation and the meaning of cemeteries.
 
* SAVE: Suicide Awareness - Voices of Education
A multi award-winning site which looks not only at the warning signs and common misconceptions surrounding suicide but also at grief after suicide has occurred.
