* Joanna Briggs Institute for Evidence based Nursing & Midwifery
Established in 1996 as an initiative of the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the University of Adelaide " in recognition of the need for a collaborative approach to the evaluation of research and its integration into nursing practice". The site provides collaborative research information on Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong via "The Research Room" facility which lists current health care research in progress.
*Nursing Research Centre for Adaptation in Health and Illness
Established in 1996 by the University of Sydney and the Central Sydney Area Health Service, the centre aims to "foster active research involvement and exchange of information between the university, health care and the community sectors". The site contains current research information and links to hospitals, government sites and professional organisations.
 

International

*Centre for Advancement of Health
Part of the University of Calgary in Canada, this site although very Canadian in content offers useful general guides and resources to beginning researchers. Included are tips on writing and submitting research proposals and links to research resources such as statistics and statistical software, scientific journals, clinical trials and research software.
*National Institute of Nursing Research - NINR
Established in 1986 as part of the National Institutes of Health (US), NINR supports basic and clinical nursing research. The site contains details of research funding and programs and links to related professional organisations.
 
 
*RDInfo
Is part of the National Institute for Health Research. The service is a Joint University of Leeds and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust project, exclusively funded by the Department of Health. The site is a database of research funding and training opportunities in health-related fields in the UK. It lists details of over 1000 funding sources and more than 3,200 individual grant awards.
