Established as an academic unit in 1992 and based at Monash University, this site contains the Rural Health Research Register as well as comprehensive links to rural health related web sites, information and resources.
 
 
*Journal of Rural and Remote Health
Rural and Remote Health was initiated in 1998 by a grant to Deakin University from the Department of Human Services, Rural health Division, Victoria, Australia. The vision was to serve rural and remote communities throughout the world by providing a community forum and specific health-related information. This peer-reviewed journal has an international editorial board and an international reviewer panel. Register for free online access including alert service.

A non-government organisation working to improve the health of Australians in rural and remote areas. The site contains contact information, media releases, information papers and some full text conference proceedings.
*National Rural Health Network - NRHN
"The National Rural Health Network (NRHN) represents 22 Rural Health Clubs with approximately 5000 members located at universities throughout Australia. The NRHN is a multidisciplinary Network representing medical, nursing and allied health students aiming to increase the health workforce and health outcomes for rural and remote Australians."
