Information on prevention and current research (including clinical trials) is up-to-the-minute. Includes comprehensive links to other quality sites.

*Australasian College of Dermatologists
A reputable site offering the public information on what skin cancer is, its diagnosis and treatment. It also includes a directory of Australian Dermatologists, a skin disease database and a section about and for children. A separate section for health professionals requires registration to enter.

*Melanoma Patients' Information Page
A noncommercial site seeking to "provide patients with the latest high-quality information from reputable sources and the tools to decipher and organize that information". Includes a bulletin board for community discussion and links to resources and major research agencies.

*SkinCancerNet
An authoritative source of information provided by the American Academy of Dermatology and aimed at the general public and Dermatologists.

*Melanoma.com
A commercial site produced by the Schering pharmaceutical corporation in the USA and containing detailed information on diagnosis, prevention and treatment. Focuses on Intron as a treatment option.

*LearnMelanoma.org
A skin cancer site that includes a research study that aims to help participants to distinguish between benign and cancerous skin lesions. Includes teaching strategies to improve early visual detetion of skin cancer. Includes Melanoma FAQs. Hosted by University of California, San Diego.
