Government / Parliamentary
publications
Australian
The Library holds full sets of Parliamentary Papers and
Hansard (the Debates) for the Federal and South Australian
Parliaments. These materials are located on Level 0 in the
Periodicals shelves at 328.9401/ 328.9402 and 328.94201/
328.94202 respectively.
Electronic access to publications of the Federal
Parliament is available through the its
web site, including the Hansard
database.
The South Australian Parliament's website
also provides access to its Hansard.
For the holdings for other States, consult the Library
catalogue or Information Desk staff. For electronic access
follow the links from the
Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments
page.
Overseas
The Library holds some publications of other Parliaments
and Governments. Details of holdings can be found in the
Library catalogue using the official heading for the
particular legislative body, eg. Great Britain Parliament or
United States Congress, or the name of specific government
departments, eg. Indonesia. Dept of Foreign Affairs.
The Internet is also a rich source of such material - see
the links provided under Internet
resources.

Legislation
Australian
The Law Library (Level 3) holds full sets of Federal and
State legislation, including Bills, Statutes and subordinate
legislation. See the Law

Newspapers
Hard copy
- The Library holds a selection of current and
historical Australian and overseas newspapers in print
and microform. Individual titles may be searched through
the Voyager Information System (Library Catalogue). The
full list of current titles by country of origin is
available at the Central Information Desk.
Electronic access
The Library has electronic access to the full-text of
many Australian and international newspapers through the
Factiva
service. The titles of individual newspapers on Factiva,
including start dates of full-text coverage, can be found
through the Voyager Information System, using a Journal
Title search.
Many newspapers are also available directly on the

Electronic journal collections
The Library now subscribes to many journals in full-text
electronic format. In some cases both a print copy and an
electronic format are available. The Library's holdings of
both formats are identified via the Voyager
Information System - use 'Journal title' search from the
Basic search screen.
Access to the electronic versions of journals can also be
gained via the Library
homepage under Information Resources, then Full-text
Electronic Resources. Use the A-Z index under 'Browse in
title order' to find specific journal titles.
Expanded Academic ASAP and ProQuest are two large
collections of full-text journals which include many titles
relevant to social administration and social work. Select
these collections under 'Browse by collecion' on the
Full-text
Electronic Resources page.
Some journals are freely available on the Internet. See
