Borrowing from other libraries

A Reciprocal Borrowing scheme exists between the libraries of the three South Australian universities. To participate in this scheme you need only present your current Flinders University ID card at either a University of Adelaide or University of South Australia library. Registration is not required.
Users of this service may borrow up to ten standard loans at a time (not short term loans) from each participating library. Borrowers are responsible for complying with all rules of the Library from which they are borrowing, this includes any charges for lost books. Suspensions for overdue books or outstanding fees at any South Australian University library will block borrowing from all. Items should always be returned to the Library from which they were borrowed.

Flinders Students living Interstate

If you are a Flinders student studying interstate you can apply for reciprocal borrowing rights at a University near you. Each University has a different reciprocal rights policy and you should contact the University you are interested in to find out if you are eligible. You will need to provide proof of identification, including your current Flinders University enrolment, to gain borrowing rights. See the University Library Australia web site for more information.
Flinders Library also offers a Flexible Delivery Library Service which will deliver materials to external students.

How do I register?	Registration not required
How do I borrow?	Always bring your student/staff card
What can I borrow?	Main collection 28 day loans. Up to 2 renewals
How much can I borrow?	Up to 10 items at any one time
What cannot be borrowed?	Journals, Reference Collection, Short term loans (2 hour, 3 and 7 day)
Returning books	You are responsible for the return of books to the Library from which you borrowed them.
Special conditions	Access to some electronic databases is provided through the Public access computers at each library branch.
